Lazy H Outfitters is located on the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, along the foothills which is prime habitat for Shiras Moose. We offer our rifle moose hunts in November after the rut has ended. With patience you have a very good chance at harvesting a trophy bull.

We hunt these trophy moose along watersheds, natural mineral licks and boggy bush country. The terrain will vary from poplar/spruce ridges to dense, boggy willow patches. Prime moose habitat allows us to spend a lot of time spotting and choosing your next trophy moose. ATV's will assist with accessibility to some areas, yet most of the adventure happens on foot stalking your trophy moose.

The Lazy H guides have lived and hunted in this area their whole lives; they know the land as well as the moose. Lazy H Outfitters highly recommends a rifle like the 7mm or a .300 for such a large animal. No matter what; be comfortable with your all equipment. With Moose in this terrain, the guides will do their best to get you within shooting range of your trophy.

This 6 day moose adventure is challenging but it's a real adrenaline rush when these bull moose come in close. Our Shiras moose hunting area has low hunting pressure and successful tag management; this leaves a lot of room for excellent trophy potential.
