Testimonials
Having been born and raised on a ranch in eastern Oregon, I always
looked forward to hunting season when friends and family gathered
to enjoy each other's company and the pursuit of big game. Hunting
with the Lazy H outfitters reminds me of that time. The Nelson family
gives all they have to offer you a hunt you won't soon forget. Beautiful
scenery, bountiful game, great food and interaction with the Nelson
family make this hunt a unique experience. By the time this hunt
is over you will have made new friends, seen some extraordinary
country, and have a trophy of a life time to hang on your wall.

I can't say enough about the Lazy
H people. Great hunting, great people, and one of the most beautiful
places on earth. Enough said!

Accomodations were second to none
and the area we hunted was more than perfect. We saw large numbers
of game every day. I was fortunate enough to harvest my first
elk while hunting with Cam. He took care of everything, making
my hunt a life long memory. These guys know how to hunt and how
to take care of you.

I am at home recounting my hunting
trip from last fall. I have to tell you I have been on a few outfitted
hunts, and they are not all created equal. I go into all hunts
with realistic expectations, and harvesting an animal isn't the
deciding factor. Some of my fondest memories in the field have
come from trips that I have not been fortunate enough to harvest
an animal. I bring this up, as I thought towards the end of my
hunt that I had let too many fine deer walk by. This did not disappoint
me in the least, as I saw so many quality animals, hunted in breathtaking
country and had such a good time meeting your families.
You guys all went above and beyond the call of duty in making
me feel at home and getting me my deer. As you already know I
shot what I think was the 5th largest deer I had seen on the hunt.
It was my decision to pass on a couple 150 inch deer in hopes
of getting back on a couple of HUGE deer we located, but conditions
just weren't right for us to get a shot. I had never been around
guys who were more disappointed of the possibility of me going
home with out harvesting an animal. Although I did not harvest
one of the larger deer, the one I did harvest (140" 5 x 5)
is my largest. I cannot wait to get it back from the taxidermist
as it will look great in my den for years to come. I will think
back on this hunt with a smile on my face, being just a little
jealous that you guys wake up every day in that awesome country.
When I come back it will be a very difficult call as to what I
want to hunt, as I saw trophy elk, moose, mulies and whitetail
deer. I normally would not offer, but please feel free to use
me as a reference, as you guys do things right. I look forward
to my next hunt with you.

My job as co-host of Huntin'
The World
Southern Style has allowed me the opportunity
to hunt with many outfitters in North America and several in Alberta.
Cam, Jay, Alan, and Jason run the best camp we've hunted in Alberta
bar none. The trophy potential on all the species they offer would
be hard to beat in any state or province. Where else could you
go on a combination hunt with an elk, moose, mulie, and whitetail
tag and put one of each in the book? I don't know of anywhere!
